DNA Testing

DNA Paternity Testing
Midlands Testing Services Inc. utilizes The GENETICA DNA Test™ for paternity and it is the most extensive and reliable DNA test available, with guaranteed results. It is delivered with strict confidentiality, expert 24 hours service, and comprehensive, professional aftercare. Our results are accepted in Courts throughout the country.

Who needs to be tested?
In a standard DNA paternity test, DNA samples are collected from the mother, the child, and the alleged father (called mother, child, alleged father DNA paternity test). The collection of the mother's sample is not absolutely necessary for DNA paternity testing; however, the mother's sample helps to identify in the child those genes that came from the mother and eliminate them from consideration in a paternity test. The laboratory can perform a highly accurate DNA paternity test without the mother's sample by performing additional DNA analysis (called single parent-child DNA paternity test).

How are specimens collected ?
Specimens are easily obtained from inside of the mouth with a cotton swab. Midlands Testing Services Inc. has an extensive network of specimen collection sites nationwide and numerous affiliations with laboratories worldwide. We make the process of specimen collections convenient for everyone involved by handling all of the arrangements. Specimen collection facilities follow strict chain of custody documentation for client identification, specimen collection, and specimen shipment to ensure the DNA paternity test results are admissible by all courts and government agencies. Specimens can be collected at agency offices, attorney offices, OR you can come to one of our locations.

How certain are the results when the man is NOT the father?
The GENETICA DNA Test™ for paternity proves conclusively that the tested man is NOT the biological father of the child. In such cases, the tested man's genes do not match the child's genes on at least three different genes. The probability of paternity is 0%, and we are 100% certain that he is NOT the child's biological father. How certain are the results when the man IS the father? The average probability of paternity for the GENETICA DNA Test™ is greater than 99.99999%. We guarantee greater than 99.9% probability of paternity in all tests where the child and alleged father are tested.

Testing for Personal Reasons
There are a wide variety of reasons to have DNA paternity test done. Adults sometimes want to find out, or confirm, who are their biological parents or children purely for the knowledge of their genetic heredity; and, they do not intend to use their DNA test results as legal evidence in the court of law.. DNA paternity testing can also be performed when the alleged father is deceased, and his sample is not available for testing. In such cases, the alleged father's genetic make up can be reconstructed from his known family relatives .

The GENETICA DNA Test GUARANTEE

The GENETICA DNA Test™ for paternity is the most extensive and accurate DNA test available, with typical power of exclusion of 99.999999%. In all cases where we test a child and an alleged father*, we guarantee ONE of the following results or we will refund your money for the test:

1. The GENETICA DNA Test™ for paternity proves conclusively that the tested man is NOT the biological father of the child. The probability of paternity is 0%, and we are 100% certain that he is NOT the child's biological father, or

2. The probability of paternity for the GENETICA DNA Test™ is greater than 99.9% and we document that more than 99.9% of the male population cannot be the biological father of the tested child.

*In rare cases, genetic mutations are identified during DNA testing. Genetica does not guarantee results with greater than 99.9% probability of paternity in cases where these rare genetic mutations are identified. In cases with genetic mutations, additional charges may apply for extended testing so that the 99.9% probability of paternity may be reached.
